Shanghai MAC is a leading Pipeline Silencer manufacturer and supplier.

A pipeline silencer is a passive acoustic device installed in gas, steam, or air ducts to cut airborne noise from compressors, blowers, turbines, and vent systems without blocking flow or adding power load. It is widely used on power-plant steam lines, compressor stations, gas-turbine inlet and exhaust, HVAC fan branches, and process vent stacks in refineries and factories. It solves several typical problems of untreated lines: excessive noise that breaks occupational limits, community complaint and shutdown risk, and high-frequency hiss that masks alarm sounds. It lowers sound pressure by tuned reactive chambers or lined absorptive baffles while keeping pressure loss small, so the plant stays compliant, safe, and within permit. Compared with full machine enclosure, a silencer targets the duct directly, costs less, and needs no extra floor space or civil work.

Packaging of Pipeline Silencer/Muffler:

Standard Packaging

Each pipeline silencer is wrapped with waterproof and dust-proof protective film, with foam buffer blocks fitted at flanges, pipe ports and outer corners to prevent collision, scratch and deformation during transit. Each unit is individually fixed with supportive inner padding and packed in a reinforced export wooden crate. Each crate is attached with a product label, test report and certificate of conformity.

Multiple packed units are neatly arranged and loaded into thickened fumigated wooden crates. All crates are fully sealed and reinforced with steel strapping. For sea shipment, crates are stacked on IPPC-marked fumigated wooden pallets, tightly wrapped with stretch film and affixed with standard shipping marks and specification labels.

Shipping

We support FCL/LCL sea freight, air freight and international express according to order quantity, cargo volume, gross weight and destination. Applicable trade terms include EXW, FOB and CIF; other terms are available upon request. Shipping cost is calculated based on actual cargo volume, weight, destination and transportation mode. Complete shipping documents such as packing list, commercial invoice, bill of lading and IPPC fumigation certificate are provided for customs clearance.

Lead Time

Sample orders: 3–7 working days

Standard batch orders: 15–25 working days

Customized size & parameter orders: 25–40 working days

Q1: Can the pipeline silencer operate continuously under high-temperature gas conditions?

A: Yes. Our silencer shell and internal lining are engineered for sustained high-temperature service. The structure will remain stable as long as parameters stay within the rated working range.

Q2: What are the available connection options for the pipeline silencer?

A: We supply both flanged and welded ends. The selection depends on your pipeline material, working pressure, site assembly and maintenance requirements.

Q3: Can the silencer be modified to meet special site space constraints?

A: Custom dimensions and compact layout are available. We can adjust the silencer outline after reviewing your installation space and piping layout drawing.

Q4: Does the pipeline silencer require regular maintenance after installation?

A: Routine inspection of internal lining and shell integrity is recommended. Cleaning shall be carried out if dust or condensate accumulates inside the flow passage.

Q5: How is pressure drop generated inside the silencer, and can it be controlled?

A: Pressure drop comes from airflow passing through internal baffles. We optimize the internal structure to keep pressure loss minimal according to your required flow rate and noise target.
